Check Your Dryer Vent To Avoid A House Fire

27 December 2021

If you don’t have your vent duct cleaned out, the dust that gets sucked in could potentially cause a fire.

TJ’s primary career is being a fireman. With his experience, he has responded to many house fires that were caused by dryers, most likely due to a clogged dryer vent. A majority of people are unaware that they should clean their dryer vents at least once per year.

Lint traps only collect a small percentage of lint and the rest goes through to the duct work. Realizing the importance of this home maintenance task motivated TJ to start this business and bring awareness to what could potentially happen if the vents aren’t cleaned.

TJ states “The best part about my business is being able to offer people an affordable service to reduce the chance of a house fire caused by their dryer. I also enjoy interacting with and getting to meet so many new people.”

As the business grows, TJ would love to be in a position next year to hire other firemen to work for him on their off days in order to serve as many people as possible.

Anyone who has a dryer in their residence is a potential candidate for this service. This could be a single family home, multi-family, condo association, apartment building, etc. This is a service that should be done at least once a year to protect your home and keep your dryer working properly. TJ Sportini

"My name is TJ Sportini, and I am the owner and operator of TJS Dryer Vent Cleaning. I am a husband and a father. I also work as a career fireman, and I see the very real risk that comes from poorly maintained dryer vents, which is one of the leading causes of house fires. Witnessing this threat firsthand motivated me to learn all I could about the topic, and to create a business to help homeowners protect themselves, their loved ones, and their homes. By focusing specifically on dryer vents, I have gained experience and expertise to provide the highest quality service, and as a result, I am able to help mitigate this dangerous hazard."

If you operate a tennis court, pickleball complex, school facility, municipality, or sports complex, you already know one thing: cracks do not fix themselves. And once structural cracking begins, surface coatings alone will not stop it. That is where RiteWay Crack Repair separates itself from the rest of the industry.
