13 August 2024

Stratford, CT – Budr Cannabis, Connecticut's latest adult-use cannabis dispensary, recently celebrated the grand opening of its fourth location in Stratford, marking a significant milestone in the state’s expanding cannabis marketplace. This hybrid facility caters to both medical patients and recreational customers, further enhancing Budr's commitment to community engagement and customer education.

The grand opening event featured a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony with local dignitaries, live music from a DJ, and breakfast from El Cafecito Deli. Attendees enjoyed a lively atmosphere filled with activities, including a raffle sponsored by Two Roads Brewing Company and interactions with local partners such as Rodeo Cannabis and Advanced Grow Labs.

To celebrate the occasion, Budr offered a generous 40% discount to all attendees on opening day, along with a 25% discount for subsequent purchases through August 15. Guests participated in games, contests, and had the chance to purchase exclusive Budr merchandise, fostering a strong sense of community.

Founded in 2023 by cannabis industry veteran Carl Tirella Jr. and home healthcare professional Derrick Gibbs, Budr Cannabis aims to transform the cannabis experience in Connecticut. “We’re more than just a place to buy cannabis; we’re a space where community and education intertwine,” shared co-founder Derrick Gibbs.

Budr is dedicated to social equity and community engagement, prioritizing customer education to ensure every visitor leaves with a better understanding of cannabis and its benefits. “We treat each customer as an honored guest,” said Tirella Jr. “Our mission is to safely provide access to cannabis while cultivating an environment where curiosity is welcomed and knowledge is shared.”

The dispensary also emphasizes ethical practices and community responsibility, partnering with local vendors and prioritizing the hiring and training of residents from the Stratford area.

Located at 7365 Main Street Unit #17, Budr's Stratford location represents just the beginning of its journey. With plans to expand further by 2025, Budr is dedicated to enhancing community well-being through cannabis.

Connecticut artist Chris Webby has long been known for using his voice to speak truth—but this time, the message goes far beyond music.
