Connecticut's Lyman Orchards Expands Hard Cider Into Massachusetts
One of Connecticut's most recognizable family-owned businesses is bringing its hard cider beyond state lines.
Middlefield-based
Lyman Orchards has announced that its 1741 Hard Cider line is expanding into Massachusetts through a new distribution partnership with Quality Beverage, a division of the Martignetti Company. The move marks the first time the orchard's hard cider will be widely available outside of Connecticut.

Massachusetts consumers will now be able to find both Connecticut Crisp, the orchard's flagship hard cider introduced in 2018, and Orchard Blueberry, which debuted last year, at participating liquor stores and restaurants across the state.
Founded in 1741, Lyman Orchards has been growing apples commercially for more than a century and has become a Connecticut destination known for its pick-your-own orchards, farm market, golf courses, seasonal events, and locally made products. The expansion represents another milestone for the long-running family business as it continues to introduce Connecticut-made products to new markets.
This comes after Lyman Orchards has already found success selling its well-known fruit pies throughout Massachusetts, making the cider expansion a natural next step for the brand.
