Fairfield Photographer Helps Families Convert Photos to Digital

A Fairfield photographer pivoted her business during the pandemic to helping people digitally recover family memories.

Business headshot photographer Regina Madwed, of Capitol Photo Interactive, says while the pandemic reduced shooting opportunities, she missed helping people look their best as much as the lost profit.


Madwed has been making ends meet by converting tapes, photos and slides to digital memories.


She says she looked on eBay to get all the equipment she needed to temporarily turn the photo studio into a digital transfer shop.


She says in the isolation of the pandemic, family memories are more important to people than ever and helping recover them has been more rewarding than she imagined.


Madwed says she'll continue to do the digital transfers, but what she's really looking forward to is getting more clients back in the studio.
