Set Sail in Style: Why Twisted Tiki Boat Is Connecticut’s Most Unique Cruise Experience

2 October 2025

If you’re looking for something new to do this season, forget the usual bars and backyard hangouts. Twisted Tiki Cruises is transforming the Connecticut shoreline into your next favorite destination. Imagine palm-beach vibes, your favorite playlist, drinks in hand, and 90 minutes of cruising with your crew. It’s that kind of fun.

The Vibe

Built in Oregon and inspired by Palm Beach, the Twisted Tiki brings tropical energy to Connecticut’s coast. Cruises typically run through October, weather permitting, giving locals and visitors a chance to soak up the late-season sun.

Each trip lasts 90 minutes, offering plenty of time to enjoy the water, unwind, and make memories. Guests can bring their own food and drinks (BYOB, just no hard liquor bottles), and there’s a bathroom onboard along with snacks and drinks for sale.

Right at Dockside Marina

One of the best parts about Twisted Tiki Cruises is its location—right at Dockside Brewery in Milford. Before or after your cruise, you can grab a drink or bite at Dockside, one of Connecticut’s most popular waterfront spots. The brewery offers local craft beers, great food, and a lively outdoor patio overlooking the marina, making it the perfect spot to start or end your tiki adventure.

The Dockside marina itself sets the tone with its coastal charm and social atmosphere. You’ll find groups hanging out along the water, music playing in the background, and boats coming and going—all adding to the energy that makes this experience feel like a mini vacation without leaving town.

Public or Private: You Choose

Twisted Tiki offers two ways to experience the cruise.

Public Cruises: Up to 25 guests, ages 13 and up. Perfect for anyone looking to meet new people and enjoy a good time on the water.

Private Cruises: Up to 30 guests, ages 5 and up. You control the guest list, the music, and the atmosphere.

Private cruises are priced at $750 on weekends and $650 on weekdays, covering the first 15 guests. Additional passengers are discounted per person, making it an affordable option for larger groups. You can also set it up so everyone pays individually instead of one person covering the full amount.

The Details That Make It Special

This isn’t just a boat ride—it’s an experience designed for comfort and fun. Each cruise includes a $15 Uber voucher to make getting home safe and easy. A 10-member crew, including the captain, ensures everything runs smoothly. Guests are asked to park on the street to keep the dock clear, and all alcohol must stay sealed until you’re onboard.

Weekend evening cruises, from 8 to 9:30 PM, are especially popular, offering music, sunset views, and great energy.

Why Twisted Tiki?

Because it’s more than just a night out. It’s relaxed yet lively, family-friendly yet perfect for parties. A place where you can bring your crew, play your own music, and feel like you’ve escaped to the tropics without leaving Connecticut.
